In order to get started with streaming PC VR content on your Oculus Quest, you need to install the Oculus PC app on your Windows or Mac computer. If your PC does not have a built-in Wi-Fi adapter, you can buy a cheap USB-C cable that will work perfectly. However, there are some limitations when it comes to Oculus Air Link.
To start using Virtual Desktop, you must have a PC with a powerful CPU and a fast, reliable Internet connection. To connect your PC to the Oculus Quest 2, you must connect to the same Wi-Fi network as the device. When you’re done, launch the Oculus app and log into the Virtual Desktop. If you’re still experiencing issues, try resetting your PC and connecting it to another PC.
After connecting your PC to your router, configure the Wi-Fi adaters on your computer to act as a dedicated virtual reality link. A low-cost AC router like the TP-Link Archer C6 works fine. A newer, more expensive version of the same router, the ASUS RT-AX55, supports Wi-Fi 6 and is compatible with Windows 11.
To use the Oculus Air Link feature, you’ll need to have the Oculus app on your PC running version 28. Next, open the Oculus app and click on the Air Link icon. Then, you’ll need to enter the Oculus link pairing code and choose a wireless network. Alternatively, you can use the Oculus Link feature on the Oculus Quest 2 headset.
